Storytelling has always been a community activity; it is an activity that reinforces community values, cements expectations, and provides a sense of belonging. Women’s stories need to be told within communities if gender equality is to be achieved. We are producing resources to enable discussions around women’s stories. It is important to listen to women’s voices to gain a fuller understanding of the meaning of gender equality within and across communities.
