Francis Vose is a Senior Tutor in Professional Practice at Liverpool Hope University. Before joining Hope, he had a successful career as a film director and producer, receiving several EMMYs and BAFTAs for his work on animated television programmes and films. He continues to serve as a BAFTA judge. He teaches animation, photography, and filmmaking.
Roger McKinley is Head of Innovation at FACT. Previously as Production Manager he had responsibility for delivery of artists’ content and technology solutions to galleries across the UK. Since 2014 he helped establish and lead FACT’s Research and Innovation Department, finding new ways for FACT to forge business, creative and intellectual links across creative industries, arts practice and HE R&D. He is currently also Project Manager for the LCR Activate programme, a 3 year ERDF support programme for Creative Industries in the Liverpool City Region.
Demelza Kooij is a filmmaker, artist, and senior lecturer in filmmaking at Liverpool John Moores University. She presented her work in art galleries, conferences, and film festivals internationally such as Edinburgh International Film Festival, Festival du Nouveau Cinéma, and Ann Arbor Film Festival. After finishing an MA in Philosophy at the University of Amsterdam she pursued her passion for film and completed an MA in Documentary Filmmaking at Royal Holloway University of London. Flora and fauna form an integral part of the visual narratives of her films and are starting points for philosophical considerations whilst maintaining an emphasis on aesthetics and sensory experience. Previously she worked at Scottish Documentary Institute and was tutor at Edinburgh College of Art / University of Edinburgh. She is currently developing her feature debut Tumbling Wolfskin (working title) with Lucie Tremblay (Lowik Media, Canada) and Anita Norfolk (Mosaic Films, UK).
